TARTELETTES au CHOCOLAT de ROYAT

Une recette auvergnate / A recipe from Royat in Auvergne, center France

1 pâte sablée / 1 sanded dough
100 g de chocolat / 0,2 pound chocolate
100 g de beurre / 0,2 pound butter
75 g de sucre glace / 0,15 pound icing sugar
2 jaunes d’œufs / 2 egg yolks
1 cuillère à soupe de rhum / 1 tablespoon rum
250 g de noix / 0,5 pound walnuts
12 morceaux de sucre / 12 cubes of sugar
2 cuillères à soupe d’eau / 2 tablespoons water

Étaler la pâte, garnir des petites tourtières, la piquer, la lester et cuire à blanc 15′ à 200°C /
Spread the paste in little moulds, puncture and ballast. Bake 15′ at 390°F.

Faire fondre le chocolat au micro-ondes 3X 30” / Melt the chocolate broken in pieces on microwave 3X 30 ”
Ramollir le beurre / Soften butter
Ajouter le sucre, les jaunes et le rhum, mélanger / Add the sugar, egg yolks and rum, mix
Mettre un peu au frigo pour solidifier / Put in refrigerator to solidify the cream.
Puis étaler sur la pâte / Then pour on dough

Dans une petite casserole faire le caramel avec le sucre et l’eau / In a small saucepan over low heat, cook the sugar cubes soaked with a little water
Tremper des cerneaux dans le caramel un à un et déposer sur les tartelettes ainsi que les noix hachéesn tout autour / Take the walnuts in the caramel, when coated remove them one by one and sprinkle the tarts and the edges have a cord of chopped nuts

Strawberry Bento! (with some recipes)

It always makes me happy to have strawberries in the house because we rarely have them! Which is why I called this bento "Strawberry" instead of "Orange Chicken."

The orange chicken was from Costco, just added some bell peppers to the mix.
Beans were defrosted and reheated in the convection oven.

Courgette/Zucchini Recipe
-courgette/zucchini sliced into thinly pieces)
-olive oil
-salt

Lay out the slices so that none touch the other and lightly sprinkle salt on top. Drizzle olive oil and heat at 400 degrees F for about 15mins.

Salted Duck Egg Salad
-1 peeled salted duck egg cut into pieces
-fresh coriander/cilantro (same thing)
-cut up tomato

Mix together and voila! No need to season because the duck egg adds all the flavour 🙂
