Hunt collects Italian victory in Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2011 It was an armada of motorboats and surfboards, and spectators on the surrounding beach that saw the closest battle this season. Reigning champion Gary Hunt had the honor of being awarded winner of this Sunday’s competition round of the 2011 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in Italy, ahead of Russia’s Artem Silchenko and Czech diver Michal Navratil. The Scaliger Castle in Malcesine was the impressive location for the fifth stop and enticed 15000 enthusiastic spectators to the Lake Garda hot spot. In the overall standings, the Brit pulls further ahead but leaves the fight for the successive positions tight.
