The Mayor’s Intern Fellows Program, under the leadership of Mayor Mike Rawlings is an 8-week summer internship where we introduce exemplary scholars from Dallas public and charter schools to future careers. Designed and implemented by non-profit Education is Freedom, the college fair is design to bridge the gap from their high school aspirations to the Dallas workforce. As part of the summer curriculum, Intern Fellows have researched potential colleges, worked on admission essays, obtained letters of recommendations and created their FSA id’s. The last critical step is  the opportunity to speak directly to college representatives to answer any additional questions our scholars may have in their college selection process. Your attendance is critical to the success of our young scholars.  Our Intern Fellows are composed of: 380 juniors and seniors from 45 Dallas public and charter schools Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA  93% belong to racial / ethnic minorities 88% will be the first  in their families to attend college 84% are economically disadvantage We look forward to partnering with you to help our 2016 Intern Fellows take the next steps in achieving their goals.
