Question by boxing4d: Can a bottle of Scotch get skunked if cooled and brought back to room tempurature?
I accidentally left a bottle of scotch outside with freezing temperatures overnight (15-20F) and brought it back inside my home the following day to bring it back to room tempurature. Of course being >80 proof, there was no worry of of the scotch being frozen, but the bottle did start to fog up once inside at 70F. Have I ruined my bottle of scotch? Can it get a “skunked” taste similar to beer when initially cool beer gets warm and re-cooled?
