Question by Kjpink78: Would it be ok to have a cash bar at our wedding if we are hosting cocktail hour and wine during dinner?
I am in the middle of planning my wedding and the budget is spinning out of control. Would it be totally tacky to have a cash bar? We are hosting the cocktail hour with an open bar, unlimited wine served during dinner and the champagne toast. That seems like enough booze to me but I don’t want to look like a cheap.

I don’t think it’s tacky at all. We had open bar for beer and wine only and cash for other liquor. The way I look at it, is it’s your wedding so if you think it’s appropriate, then it is! Good luck and best of wishes!
